Penrose-St. Francis Breaks Ground for New Medical Center

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, Colorado Springs, Colo., broke ground for the new St. Francis Medical Center on June 29. The 350,000-square-foot medical center is slated to open in 2008 with 158 beds and the capacity to increase to 300 beds. The facility will include a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a cardiac catheterization lab, and inpatient and outpatient surgical services.
