Patient Safety Officer Training Conference to Focus on Rapid Response Teams

The Clinical Services Group of Catholic Health Initiatives will host a National Patient Safety Officer Training Conference, February 7–9 in Las Vegas, Nev. The conference will focus on improving patient safety and implementing Rapid Response Teams within market-based organizations. The conference is supported by a $145,000 grant for the implementation of Rapid Response Teams that was recently awarded to Catholic Health Initiatives by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Conference attendees will:
  • Identify strategies for strengthening communication and teamwork, improving outcomes and decreasing patient mortality.
  • Highlight ideas for the design, implementation and improvement of rapid response teams.
  • Share leading practices and provide opportunities to network with colleagues across the system.
Catholic Health Initiatives has provided acute care facilities within the system with $1,000 scholarships to help offset the cost of attendance for their patient safety officers.
