Continuing Medical Education at Saint Francis Ranks High

The Continuing Medical Education Program at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Neb., ranks in the top eight percent of such programs across the country. The Nebraska Medical Association’s (NMA) Commission on Medical Education granted the Saint Francis program full accreditation for six years following a site visit and application review. “It should be noted that nationally, only 7.9 percent of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education providers receive an ‘exemplary’ level of commendation,” said Pat Brookhouser, MD, chair of the NMA’s Commission on Medical Education. “This speaks well of the educational opportunities provided by Saint Francis Medical Centers’ Educational Services department, along with contributions from physicians and hospital administration.”
