Alegent Health Contributes to Tsunami Relief

Alegent Health, Omaha, Neb., has provided a corporate gift of $10,000 to the Sri Lanka Relief Fund to aid relief efforts for people affected by the tsunami in southern Asia and eastern Africa. The Sri Lanka Relief Fund was co-founded by Gamini Soori, MD, chief of staff at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, who was visiting Sri Lanka when the tsunami hit. In addition to the corporate gift, Alegent Health employees donated more than $2,200, and raised more than $20,000 through a sell-back of paid time off.
