Wall Street Journal Reports on Saint Joseph in Lexington’s Patient Safety Program

A patient safety program at Saint Joseph HealthCare, Lexington, Ky., was included in a Wall Street Journal article on rapid response teams and other methods of preventing patient deaths. Saint Joseph uses a computerized list of “adverse triggers” that might cause harm or injury to patients, and hospital pharmacists make daily rounds to help physicians and nurses spot the triggers.
