Distribution of New Ethics at Work Begins in August
Catholic Health Initiatives has revised and redesigned its Ethics at Work publication to serve as a helpful reference guide for all staff. Distribution of the guide will begin this month. "We have totally revamped Ethics at Work to be an easy-to-use guide that employees can refer to daily," said Michelle Cooper, vice president and corporate responsibility officer for Catholic Health Initiatives. "The guide includes many real-life examples of the applications of our standards of conduct, organized by issue for easy reference. These examples will help employees model Catholic Health Initiatives' distinctive culture, support the core values, and exhibit consistent, values-based behavior." The reference guide also provides answers to frequently asked questions about ethics and a simple, three-step process employees can use to get help with ethical issues. Catholic Health Initiatives has also developed online education to enhance employee familiarity with new the reference guide. This training will be available in fall 2004.
