St. John’s in Joplin Offers New Treatment for Arrhythmia

The Center for Heart Care at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., is using a new treatment for irregular heartbeat. Advanced cardiac mapping enables physicians to see real-time images of electrical activity within a patient’s heart and pinpoint the location of normal and abnormal heartbeats, which is vital to treating arrhythmia. St. John’s is the only facility in Missouri using this type of technology. For more information, contact Robin McAlester, media/promotions coordinator for St. John’s, at rmcalest@stj.com.
