Berea Hospital Celebrates Transfer of Sponsorship to Catholic Health Initiatives
Leaders from Catholic Health Initiatives joined hospital staff and local dignitaries at a ceremony marking the transfer of sponsorship of Berea Hospital, Berea, Ky., from the community to Catholic Health Initiatives. During the ceremony, attended by Berea’s mayor, representatives of Berea College and other members of the community, a priest blessed the public areas of the hospital. Berea Hospital, a 48-bed facility that began in 1898 as an eight-bed cottage on the Berea College campus, now provides services to the residents of four counties.
