Franciscan Health System Files Certificate of Need for New Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash.


Franciscan Health System, Tacoma, Wash., has filed a certificate of need to build a 112-bed hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash., the city’s first medical center. The new hospital, which has not been named, will qualify as a Level IV trauma center. The first phase of the project, which will include 84 beds, is scheduled to open in 2007.
