Bequest to Fund Long-term Care Initiatives
John Andrew Hackley, a cherished friend of Patricia A. Cahill, Esq., retired president and chief executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives, passed away in January and included Catholic Health Initiatives in his will. Hackley, who spent his entire career in long-term care, was a patient at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash., and served as a volunteer in the oncology unit there. His bequest will become part of the Mission and Ministry Fund, which provides grants to initiatives for the building of healthy communities. The Mission and Ministry Fund will establish the John Andrew Hackley Memorial Award, which will help fund long-term care and palliative care programs.
