Three Market-based Organizations Among the "Most Wired"
Alegent Health, Omaha, Neb.; Good Samaritan Health Systems, Kearney, Neb.; and Saint Joseph HealthCare, Lexington, Ky., were recognized as being among the nation’s "Most Wired" hospitals and health systems by Hospitals & Health Networks, a journal of the American Hospital Association. The journal annually polls hospitals and health systems on their use of information technology to address safety and quality, customer service, business processes, workforce development and disaster readiness. Alegent Health and Good Samaritan Health Systems are on the "Most Wired" list, and Good Samaritan is also on the list of the 25 "Most Wireless" hospitals and health systems. The journal named Saint Joseph HealthCare a finalist for the Most Wired Innovator Award for its online approach to managing diabetic patients.
