Care Center at Bothell to Be Sold

Eagle Health of Kenmore, Wash., is expected to become the new operator of the 112-bed Care Center at Bothell, currently part of Franciscan Health System, Tacoma, Wash., by April 1. Franciscan decided to sell the facility after an evaluation of strategic options found that the Care Center could be more successful as part of an organization with a stronger position in the local long-term care market. If the sale closes as expected, Tocca Terra Investment Group LLC of California will be the new owner, and Eagle will lease and operate the facility. Eagle currently operates 13 skilled nursing

facilities with 1,045 licensed nursing home beds and 39 licensed boarding home beds. The sale is subject to necessary reviews and approvals, including those from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and the Catholic Church.
