Catholic Health Initiatives Observes Day for Peacemaking

The market-based organizations and national offices of Catholic Health Initiatives observed a Day of Awareness, Prayer and Advocacy for Peacemaking on January 6, with a special focus on praying for peace in the global community. "Our mission statement speaks of fidelity to the Gospel and places emphasis on human dignity and social justice," said Patricia A. Cahill, Esq., president and chief executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives. "This call is especially compelling in response to the increasing threat of war. As we further the healing mission of Jesus, let us be leaders in creating awareness and praying for peace in our hearts, in our communities and, this year, especially in our world." For more information on future Days for Peacemaking, contact Colleen Scanlon, senior vice president for advocacy, at colleenscanlon@chi-national.org, or Peggy Egan, OSF, vice president of mission and healthy communities, at srpeggyegan@catholichealth.net.
