Financial Assistance Fund
to be Established for National Employees

Catholic Health Initiatives will establish a financial assistance fund to provide a resource to national employees who experience significant financial hardships.

The program will be established through a corporate contribution from Catholic Health Initiatives. National office and service center employees will then have the opportunity to make tax-deductible contributions, via cash payments or payroll deductions, to the fund. "In addition, employees who participate in the Paid Time Off (PTO) Program can contribute hours from their PTO ‘banks’ to the assistance fund," said Michael L. Fordyce, chief administrative officer for Catholic Health Initiatives. Fordyce noted that employee contributions to the fund are totally voluntary.

Details regarding the contribution process and the confidential process employees will use to request financial assistance from the fund are being finalized and will be distributed in June.
