Cordeniz of Holy Rosary in Oregon wins national essay competition
Judy Cordeniz, director of the center for continuous improvement and health information management at Holy Rosary Medical Center, Ontario, Ore., won the nation-wide Hill-Rom Management Essay Competition in Healthcare Administration. Cordeniz received the $3,000 prize at the March meeting of the Congress of Healthcare Management, where she also presented her essay, titled "Recruitment, Retention and Management of Generation X, with a Focus on Nursing." The essay will be published in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Healthcare Management. Cordeniz also received a $1,000 scholarship from Hill-Rom. In May, she will receive a master’s degree in health care administration from Seton WorldWide, the online division of Seton Hall.
