Denver office staff helps those less fortunate
Since the Denver office of Catholic Health Initiatives was established in 1996, the staff has made an annual Christmas-season contribution to programs and services for the poor at Holy Ghost Church in lieu of a Christmas gift exchange. Last December, the staff’s contribution to the church totaled $4,075.
In addition, the Denver staff worked with Annunciation School to "adopt" three families during the holiday season. The families had a total of 12 children ranging from three months to 18 years of age. Through cash contributions from staff members and a vendor, the Denver staff was able to purchase 173 Christmas gifts for the adopted families. In response to special requests from the school social worker, the Denver staff also purchased a chest of drawers for a family in need and provided 50 children with safety helmets to go along with a separate donation of 50 scooters.
