In a show of patriotism, 52 children from two Catholic schools in Omaha recorded several songs that have been placed on Alegent Health’s Web site at as an all-American tribute. Students in the fifth through eighth grades at Sacred Heart Grade School and St. Pius X/St. Leo Elementary School sang "God Bless America," "America," and "This Land is Your Land." In addition, Charles Marr, chief executive officer of Alegent Health, sent all Alegent employees a patriotic thank-you card and an American flag pin to recognize the generosity and compassion they have displayed since America’s tragedies on September 11. "Wear this national symbol of freedom with pride and resolve, knowing that your efforts every day help make this a great community and a great country," he said.
