The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation, Louisville, part of KentuckyOne Health, received $40,000 in donations to help expand KentuckyOne Health Cancer Care at Saint Joseph East. The gifts were made in memory of Lesa Taylor, a former patient who passed away from breast cancer in 2014. The donations were used to create a satellite pharmacy and a new consultation room, named in honor of Lesa Taylor. It includes a display of Lesa’s pink boxing gloves – a gift from her husband, Jamie Taylor. The gloves signify Lesa’s strength and will help encourage other women in the fight against breast cancer.

The new KentuckyOne Cancer Care satellite pharmacy will allow chemotherapy protocols to be prepared on site, resulting in a quicker treatment process for patients. The new consultation room will allow patients to have a comfortable and private place to speak with their physician.
